My Kemetic Dreams

Ra Un Nefer Amen explains that the word Psychology is Greek meaning “study of the pysche.” The word “psyche” doesn’t mean mind, it means spirit. Westerners often hide the truth through false spelling. When we erase the misleading and silent “p” and “e” we are left with “sych.” When we study the Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) language which the Greeks were obsessed with, we see that the word for spirit was sahu, from which the Greek word sych originates. Therefore, the study of psychology and the study of the spirit (spirituality) are the same. The only difference is that spirituality, with its attachment to “religion” often suffers from religious residue, such as dogma, doctrine, mysticism, and spookism. Someone mentioned that to them psychology doesn’t seem to be about spirituality because it is dealing with “mental disorders and trauma.” What do you think the purpose of spirituality is then? It has been misused to be about chants, rituals, postures, and magic tricks to solve your problems. No, all of the human’s major problems in life stem from a disorder in his/her mentality. Western psychologists present these as unchangeable disorders that need medication. What we need is a change in our way of thinking, of how we see ourselves, our purpose, and interaction with the universe. Thus spirituality/psychology is about resolving the disordered mentality into an ordered one. Not through expensive medication, BUT THROUGH MEDITATION. Rituals were once the highest form of meditation, but when the meaning behind the ritual became top secret or ignored, the power behind the ritual as a meditative technique was lost. The pre-Maafa Yoruba used the orishas as faculties for the aspects of the mind that, when balanced through meditation, empowered you with the ordered mentality that would allow for prosperity and success.
